Nearly everything we know about our government we learn through the news media, therefore the news media creates our political reality. What happens when we rely on unaccountable news sources to create our political reality?

When we think of democracy we think of millions of people voting in elections. What we don’t think of is all of the problems inherent in it.
There is no mention of political parties in the Constitution; in fact the Framers loathed them. So why are they such a dominate feature of our politics?
Local Electors would be the lynchpin of real democracy. They would connect citizens with their government and allow real two-way communication and accountability. Real democracy would happen through Local Electors.
How would communities keep members involved and maintain themselves as viable ongoing organizations? The Community Leadership Board is the answer.
What could be more natural than electing members of your community to represent you in government?
A system of Local Electors would transform a chaotic and ugly election process into a logical and professional process of internal promotions. It would be the ideal hiring process.
How would communities know what to do? How can we be sure they would function properly? Would the community members know what their responsibilities are? The Department of Communities would insure that communities work.
Community issues should be dealt with in the community. This would allow neighbors to work together, get to know one another, and empower each of us. When a distant government takes control we lose all reason to get together and we lose control over our immediate environment.
